Christmas Goals & Achievements

Image from tumblr.com

Hello! So my Blogmas is finally over, though I didn't do as many posts as I had planned originally (oops). For my first blogmas post (see: AnxiousEachDay || Blogmas Post1 ), I did my three Christmas goals. They were:

1. Control My Breathing
2. Get plenty of sleep Christmas Eve night
3. To relax on the last day of school

So I thought I would reflect on those goals and see how well I did. So with my first goal, I think I did pretty well. I managed to control my breathing and relax myself when I felt anxious throughout the day, and I think I was quite subtle. My parents didn't say anything like "are you okay?" as they do whenever they notice me looking anxious, or stressed, which is definitely a good thing!

My second goal was to get plenty of sleep Christmas Eve night, but that goal was one I didn't achieve. I had roughly three/four hours of sleep which for me, isn't that much. However, it turns out I was wrong. I thought that having enough sleep would mean I wasn't that anxious, but actually, sleep didn't matter that much, as even with a short amount of sleep, I still enjoyed my day and wasn't as anxious as I thought I would be. In fact, there were only one or two moments where I felt quiet anxious, and those passed quite quickly.

My third and final goal, was to relax on the last day of school and that, I did. If you read my blogpost (Blogmas || Last Day of School ), you would already know that I managed to calm myself down slightly, by telling myself this: ' If things are going to happen, they will happen anyway, no matter how much  I worry about it in the lead up. Why worry about an event happening when if it is going to happen, it will happen anyway ' For some reason, it worked, and I seemed to relax more quickly. I did this every time I felt the familiar prickle of anxiety return, and achieved my goal.

Overall, I'm very pleased with how I achieved my Christmas goals! How about you? Did you set any? And if so, how did it go? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below! :)
